Wood Sandpiper


I visited RSPB Saltholme this afternoon and there was a good number of waders present on the reserve. Wood Sandpiper (see photo), Common Sandpiper, Dunlin, Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Little-ringed Plover, Ruff and Lapwing.

I had a good weekend watching butterflies. Small Tortoiseshell, Large White, Small White, Meadow Brown & Peacock.
1st Big Butterfly Count (near Newburgh Priory, North Yorkshire) = 21 Large White & 1 Meadow Brown.
