I took my 30W Actinic Light to Nether Kellet for a moth session in VC60 on 28th May 2017.

Indoors we found a Case-bearing Clothes Moth (Tinea Pellionella).

The following moths were recorded:

Garden Moth Update - GMS Week 10 & 12

On Friday 5th May 2017, it was Garden Moth Scheme Week 10, so I put out my moth trap at home in VC66.

There was an overnight low of 7.6C and despite the temperature only one moth was recorded a Shuttle-shaped Dart. It was very disappointing.

On the 18th May, a Angle Shades moth was seen in the garden.

For GMS Week 11, I was away on holiday, so on Saturday 20th May I put the trap out again. The overnight low temperature was 9.3C

The next morning I found 3 moths, so again poor numbers.
