Brown-tail Caterpillar
On Monday 16th June 2014, whilst visiting Titchwell Marsh Nature Reserve I spotted a Brown-tail Moth Caterpillar crawling along the path.

Also photographed at Low Barns Nature Reserve were Large Red Damselfly, Azure Damselfly, Dotted Border Larvae and Scorpionfly (Panorpa germanica),
Bird Cherry Ermine at Low Barns Nature Reserve
On Sunday 8th June 2014, I visited Low Barns Nature Reserve in Country Durham. Whilst walking along the path looking for woodland birds I spotted these nests of caterpillars in the trees.
I have never seen this before, only previously seeing photographs in books and magazines.
