Stockton Riverside

This afternoon I enjoyed a walk alongside the River Tees at Stockton. The sun was shining bright as I started at the Princess Diana bridge and headed towards Victoria bridge.

There were 37 Mute Swans, 70 Mallard, 1 Moorhen, 2 Cormorants and approximately 30 Black-headed Gulls. All common birds but it was good to see them in your hometown.

As we headed back, there was a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly sunbathing on the footpath and a flock of Starlings were starting to look for roosting spaces.
